It’s also known as “Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) and micro needling. It is becoming amazingly popular as there are fewer risks, shorter recovery time and less chance of side effects. The needles are inserted into the epidermis and the top layer of the dermis causing dermal damage. The skin will then commence a process to heal the wounds resulting in the production of new “collagen” and “elastin”. The skin appears smooth, tight and more youthful in appearance. It is recommended to continue using anti-aging regimen to enhance the healing process. This is why the quality of the skin greatly improves.
